2023 Rugby season starts 15th April

The 2023 rugby season will commence on Saturday 15th April, with Barraba hosting Quirindi in the women’s and men’s rugby.
After a very good season last year the Club is feeling confident of another strong display from the men’s team with solid numbers at training, while the women’s team is still short a few players. So, girls if you feel like playing football come out and enjoy the fun these girls are having.
The men’s team were to play Barbarians at Armidale last weekend, but I don’t know what happened, as no report was forthcoming.
It was good to hear some of the younger Barraba Rams, in the under 16’s and 14’s boys and girls were selected for the central North squads. I do not have their names but congratulations to you all.
The 3 overseas players have arrived and settled in with the men playing positions as a prop and a centre. The women’s player could be the hooker.
Patrons will be able to pay their subs at the gate on their way in for the opening game of the season.
