ANZAC DAY 2022

With the lifting of COVID restrictions The Barraba RSL is returning to the traditional format for this year’s ANZAC day.

DAWN SERVICE

The Dawn Service will be held at the Memorial Clock on the corner of Queen and Maude Street.

Those wishing to attend this service are asked to form up at 5:45 am and the service will commence at 6.00am.

After this service the Barraba RSL and recreation Club Limited will be hosting breakfast for those that wish to attend.

TRADITIONAL SERVICE 11:00 AM

Again, this service will be held at the Memorial Clock (Queen & Maude Streets) and will be preceded by a short march to the memorial clock. The march will form up opposite Andy’s Guest House at 10:45am before commencing at 10:55am. The main commemoration service will commence at 11:00am.

At this time, we remember the service of all those that have fought and died for our freedom, in the defence of democracy and our right to live in peace. We also remember those that continue to serve in defence of our country and the preservation of our ideals.

At this time particularly with the events in Eastern Europe the ideals of those that served and died need to be acknowledged and we hope that these ideals will be preserved into the future.
