Power out this Sunday

Essential Energy crews will complete maintenance on the electricity network supplying power to Barraba, Upper Manilla and surrounds this weekend Sunday (15 February).

Crews will install new network equipment on the main power line supplying Barraba to improve the reliability of the Upper Manilla zone substation. This will help reduce the number of customers affected by outages.

Additional crews will also be working in Barraba town, to replace two power poles and 18 pole crossarms, along with other network components, to maintain the safety and reliability of the local power supply.

A planned power outage is required so our crews can complete this work safely and is scheduled to occur between 7am and 5pm on 15 February.
