Golf news and a reminder about some rules

Had a warm-up last Friday and competition starts proper this week. Helen Kelly overcame hand problems to add to her ball collection which must be mounting by now. Great week by the "No Hopers" but have no-hope of keeping the score as it won't count. Good form though. Good to see "Hackers" back.

Just re-enforcing a couple of rules;

• A preferred lie must be within 15cms of where the ball lies. Not forward.
• There is no preferred lie if you are within a club-length (driver) of a tree. A preferred lie is to give you a decent crack at it but not to get you out of trouble!
