Adam Marshall backs the Paramedics

BACKING OUR PARAMEDICS PAY CLAIM & PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION PUSH

I’m proud to throw my full support behind our region’s paramedics, who are seeking professional recognition from the State Government and a fairer pay deal.

Our paramedics do an incredible job and deserve proper recognition and remuneration for the higher-level emergency and medical care they now provide to our communities. Having spoken with paramedics from across our region, I know they want to focus on serving our communities and they feel let down by the government, which promised a better and fairer deal, which has not yet materialised.

I’m calling on the government to act now to support our hard-working paramedics, recognise their unique medical skillsets and remunerate them accordingly. The showdown with paramedics cannot be allowed to continue – they are the lowest paid and highest injured paramedics in the country. I have always backed our paramedics and will continue to fight for a better deal for them.
