Golf Notes

Twilight 10/12

It took to the penultimate round before the Wouldbe Champions realised their potential with Graham Bowman winning a chook with 22 points and David McMurtrie and Liam Johnston balls with 21 and 19 respectively. Rodger Fisher(Golf Creek) also found some form with 21 points while Yellow Stone Fever's Ben Spencer (20) and Charlie Hart (19) kept their team in a strong position going into the last week. Balls also went to Fine Winers Lib Thompson with 20 points, Geriatric Paul Grigg and AKA's Dave Capes with 19. Jack Ward, after encouraging fellow golfers with their tee-offs, was considered the best of the 5 holers. Manilla Boys Neil Bonnett won the meat. So with one week to go it is Yellow Stone leading on 310, Geriatrics 301, Hackers 296, Lotta Piggin 294 and Golf Creek on 287 fighting it out for first and second. 6666's 282, Manilla Boys 279 and The Bogey Men 277 are some chance to get in the prize money if they pull one out of the box and the rest will just enjoy a great game on a great course and have a steak afterwards. We're all winners!
