A glorious spring day greeted a good field of golfers hitting off in the Vera Doyle Memorial trophy on Sunday. With all the recent rain there is no run in the course and the scores are showing this. Playing an Individual Stableford Josh Austin with 37 points won the day with balls going to runner up Firmen Allan on 36, Ian Cabot 34, David Kelly 32 and Shane Middlemiss on 31 points. A NTP went to Graham Bowman on the 6th.
Next Sunday 2nd October we will play a 4BBB v Par for a trophy donated by John Hartley and Tim Bucknell. The following Friday 7th October is the start of our Twilight Teams competition. It is hoped that if we have enough interest in people wanting golf lessons we can have a golf professional attend on the 7th.
