Ladies Golf - Kerry Smith wins the championship

This weekend gone, saw the ladies bring their championships to an end. On Saturday it was disappointing to see only 3 ladies turn up for the 3rd round which was Gail Simpsons Trophy. Gail’s trophy was won by Kerrie Smith with 72 Nett and Lib Thompson runner up with 77.  Sunday was a lovely day for golf as well, however the wind was quiet strong. Four ladies took on the wind to complete their championships.  Stacey Etheridge was the donor of this round and it was proudly won by her mum, Libby Thompson with a great round of 69 Nett and Kerrie Smith was runner up with a consistent 72 Nett.  Out of bounds did come into play for a couple of the girls, but we blamed the wind!!!!!  The girls also enjoyed having to take relief from unplayable shots.  Congratulations to Amanda Koopman who took out the Ladies Championships with a gross of 270. Runner up was Lib, a very safe distance back on 294. The winner of our championship Nett was Kerrie Smith on 218, nudging Lib out by 3, very close!!
